Situated on the western boundary of the Taos Plateau at the foot of Antonito Mountain, this land is legacy grazing land for Elk, Deer, Pronghorn and cattle. It is bounded on the southern and western borders by Carson National Forest. Located in Game Unit 52, the ranch has been receiving 10 elk landowner elk tags per year (4MB, 3EBow, 3C). A number of tanks provide year round water to attract game and wildlife. The land is primarily gently rolling with the exception of a 9300ft volcano, Cerros de la Cruz. The bulk of the land is grass and native vegetation with an area of Ponderosa Pine forest at the base of the cerros and an alpine forest on the north side of the mountain. The property is easily traversed by a series of passable two tracks. Views are spectacular in all directions. Access is excellent accept for times of heavy snow. Drive time to Taos is about an hour, to Santa Fe an hour and forty five minutes, Alamosa, CO about one hour.
